ESG: Good for the planet. Good for business. Highlights from our recent Webinar.

10th February 2026

You’d be forgiven for the thinking ‘Double Materiality’ was an upcoming Britain’s Got Talent act. But if you attended our recent webinar all about Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) you’d appreciate it’s a key phase in developing an effective ESG strategy. In partnership with Positive Planet, we shone a spotlight on this important topic, which is now a key consideration for any business.

Truth is, ESG is often seen as a tick-box exercise – something for tender submissions and pitches. Yet it has far wider reaching benefits. Winning business? Sure, especially in the public sector where sustainability credentials count for between 10-30% of overall scoring. And in sectors like construction and manufacturing, brands are increasingly looking for demonstrable ESG through the whole supply chain.

Looking beyond new biz, ESG can help drive cost efficiency and support recruitment. In fact, demonstrating sustainability is a critical, often decisive, factor for Gen Z candidates when considering a role, with roughly 70% factoring in a company’s environmental footprint and sustainability initiatives during their job search.

A huge thank you to Emma Gray form Positive Planet for sharing a wealth knowledge, alongside practical advice to help our attendees launch an effective ESG strategy; one that’s good for the planet, and good for their business.

And a special mention to Becky James, of Sketchology who, luckily for you, captured the salient points in an impressively bite size visual format.
